Durian Homestay is tucked away in the quiet rhythms of rural Kulai — a lived-in home surrounded by greenery, open skies, and the everyday pace of village life. With shared spaces, simple meals, and unhurried days, it offers a return to a way of living that is grounded, relational, and intentionally slow.
More than a place to stay, it’s a space to live together. Whether you’re cooking side by side, sitting without an agenda, or noticing the small details of daily life, each moment invites presence, care, and connection — not performance.
True to the ethos of every Time Off Field Trip, this experience is about stepping out of hustle and into authenticity. It’s an invitation to slow down, lean into curiosity, and practise good living through shared time, honest conversations, and the beauty of what’s enough.

We’ll wake to simple mornings, shared meals, and the quiet rhythms of a lived-in home. We’ll live slowly, honestly, and in relation to others. In the unpolished moment; cooking together, sitting without an agenda, noticing what’s enough. One that values presence over productivity, and connection over convenience.

5D4N, 3rd December - 7th December 2025
Return to Roots :
the Santai Way
Basking in nature, Celebrating who we are
A co-creator retreat for the curious and the craftful.
A playful space to explore, share, and experiment with the gifts you’ve been quietly honing. Bring your joy, whether it’s brewing, building, painting or planting and offer it to others. Get nourished by what you give, and healed by what you receive. Because when we create together, we rest deeper too.
-
Sukasantai Farmstay is nestled in the cool highlands of Sukabumi—a 6-hectare organic farm designed for slow, intentional living. With bamboo groves, communal kitchens, and farm-to-table rituals, it invites guests to reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other.
More than a stay, it’s a space to live, create, and contribute. Whether you’re making tempeh, harvesting greens, or sharing stories by the fire, every moment is grounded in care, craft, and community.
Exactly the ethos of each Time Off Field Trip, this retreat is about pausing the hustle, leaning into curiosity, and exchanging gifts of time, presence, and creativity.

While Sukasantai offers multiple rooms across the farm, we’ve chosen to gather everyone under one roof at Rumah Santai (note all room are none A/C supported to be aligned with its sustainability mission). With space for up to 10 participants, this shared home allows us to nurture a collective rhythm, where creativity flows more freely, conversations linger longer, and quiet moments are still honoured.
Together, yet spacious. Communal, yet personal.
This is how we hold space for rest, connection, and co-creation.Should we welcome more than 10 participants, we’ll thoughtfully tap into rooms within close proximity to Rumah Santai so the spirit of shared living continues, just a few steps apart.

How is the journey to Sukansantai Farmstay like?
The journey is a 2.5 - 3hour ride from Jarkata, depending on traffic conditions. We would be arranging for a common time to meet to hop on the arranged vehicle to the farmstay. Separate arrangement can be made should you prefer to arrive at the destination at your own time. Programme on Day 1 will likely start from 5pm.What flights are available?
There are multiple flights flying into Jarkata (including the likes of Scoot and Air Asia). The key is to choose a flight that will land before 9am. More details of possible flights will be shared via email to confirmed participants. Note: Indonesian timing is an hour behind Singapore’s.
Participants are encouraged to booked air tickets from 1 October onwards, or when minimum of 6 participants have been fulfilled, whichever is earlier to avoid unnecessary cancelations. Can I extend my stay?
