The Process: 

Working together with Raffles Hotel, Bold facilitated a micro-job taster to bring industry insights of the luxury hotel industry to graduating students. Under the guidance of Raffles Management staff, participants roleplayed as Service Agents and Group Coordinators, engaging in presentations and job tasks to gain exposure and build understanding of hotel operations and systems.

Based on our 3A Methodology, Bold intentionally built in the learning through the Bold Portfolio Cards that call out the skills and mindsets needed to thrive in the specific industry and host organisation. Students got to i) Be exposed to Real World Issues & Standards and work hands-on with actual business challenges, being exposed to the actual tools of the trade and professional work processes as part of the taster experience and ii) through Bold’s learning facilitation, process new career options and possibilities and understand the nuances of what good work means to them and in different work contexts. In particular, the micro-job tasters opens up possibilities for further engagement with host organisation, be it in through job attachments or longer internships.
